Two Main Types of Abortion
There are two types of abortion: medication and surgical. How far along you are in your pregnancy determines which one you can have.
Medication Abortion
Week 1 – 10
The abortion pill (RU486) is known as a medication abortion. It isn’t just one pill. It actually uses two very powerful drugs, mifepristone and misoprostol. This at-home option may seem the most convenient but the process is serious and our nurse can talk with you about the risks and realities.
Surgical Abortion
There are two types of surgical abortions available depending on how far along you are in your pregnancy.
Week 9 – 13 Vacuum Aspiration
Week 14 – 20 Dilation and Evacuation (D&E)
Contact us today to make an appointment with a licensed nurse and client advocate. They will talk through the procedures and all your options.
